The ABYSS 36V DC-DC Charger is designed to give your 36V trolling motor battery a boost while you're on the go by harnessing power from your engine’s alternator. As your boat moves, the alternator generates excess power, which the charger redistributes from your cranking battery to your 36V battery, providing up to 10 amps of charging voltage as needed.

This smart on-demand technology only supplies the charging current necessary to replace used energy, helping extend your trolling motor battery life. Additionally, it ensures that your cranking battery’s voltage won’t fall below 13.3V, so you can safely rely on your boat’s systems and keep your trolling motor charged and ready.

It is not recommended to use a 36V DC alternator charger with three 12V lithium batteries in series. While the voltage may match, charging batteries connected in series with a 36V charger can lead to imbalanced charging, potentially causing:

  • Uneven charging: The charger cannot individually balance each 12V battery, which can result in one or more batteries being overcharged or undercharged, reducing their lifespan.
  • System instability: Imbalanced batteries can cause performance issues and even damage the battery pack or the alternator charger.

The battries are first class along with customer suport.If you are using acid core or adm, Lithium is the way to go.My only complaint is for a first time user, I had to call customer support because of the limited owner info sent with the batteries.
